Albuterol is NOT a tobacco product!!!

...and neither is vapor! So why does vaping fall under the "no tobacco products" category?

Smokers have begrudgingly given up smoking in certain places. No more in the house, no more at bars, no more at restaurants, etc. Smoking is bad for you, yes, just like so many other things, but it is not a moral sin. Nevertheless, smokers acknowledge that certain places are better smoke-free.

In an effort for a win-win, vaping became popular. For those who do not know, it's basically liquid nicotine that mixes with water vapor to produce an effect similar to smoking, without all the chemicals. While there is some concern over how safe the water vapor is (there's just not enough research), it would be hard to contest that any major city's air would be any safer.

In essence, the contraption is an inhaler, no different in functionality than that an asthmatic might use. In physicality, however, the disposables tend to bear resemblance to a cigarette.

Sooooooo, if vaping is nothing more than a fancy inhaler, why is it considered a "tobacco" product? There's no tobacco in it! It contains only nicotine. The nicotine is inhaled by the user, like any bronchodilator would be, and what's exhaled is just water vapor. No one bans inhalers, why ban these?
