Transgender activist, blogger, and all around health nut, Chase Ross, from the YouTube channel UppercaseCHASE1 is dealing with unfair attacks from anti-trans radicals on the social media platform YouTube.

His Channel is being censored and his videos flagged. His product reviews and trans related videos are being age restricted by people that actually follow him on the social media platform. Ultimately this causes videos to not be able to be monetized or have ads played before them. Thus not allowing Chase to earn an income and make a living for all the good he does for the trans and worldwide community in general. This may not seem like a huge deal, but even an activist must earn a living to continue to spend time on an activity that is as time consuming and important a service that he provides.
The flagging and reporting has been occurring for months but has started to occur even more ridiculous this week. According to reports there are anti-trans activists within the LGBT community that are potentially responsible. While this is not confirmed I have personally researched this and found some serious coincidences that appear to corroborate this.
Chase currently has over 64000 subscribers. His followers include members of the trans community and subscribers such as myself that are cis gender allies and friends to the trans community.
Chase’s review videos and many other videos flagged for sexual content are not in fact sexual in nature at all. Some items would even be considered prosthetic devices. The use of such devices are used to help with the condition called dysphoria. The videos contain information on Chase’s own dysphoria and helps to educate the community that's it's okay to feel emotions that might not be categorized as mainstream.
His product videos are posted under the category education, and are legitimately reported to his viewers as a prosthetic used to alleviate dysphoria for the ftm and non-binary community. The educational nature of his videos are clearly conveyed, even though through humor and lightheartedness, his intentions are well known.
When flagged the 18+ age restriction prevents minors who are trans to not get the information that they need or should be able to get in a free and open society. The same kids who are dealing with coming to terms with themselves and with world around them are prevented from realizing their body dysphoria isn't theirs alone to suffer with. Even though we might not agree with everything that someone puts out for consumption on YouTube thhe ability to share information that could save someone's life is not an idea to be hampered.
As Chase put it “Marginalized populations are being affected by this.”
He's right to says this. People who make up a very small portion of the population are losing a source of information that this community desperately needs.

I personally came across Chase’s videos after a dear friend of mine came out to me as a trans man. Watching his videos allowed me the ability to understand and learn how to support my friend and be able to ask the right questions without sounding crass or rude. I was given information that satisfied my curiosity, but was able to learn that not all my curiosities need to be cured. I started to follow his channel because I felt a connection to him on a personal level and genuinely enjoyed his videos and his wit contained within them. His non-trans related videos were ultimately what enabled me to be able to relate with him on a level that didn't just cast him as a ftm, but as a vlogger and human trying to navigate life just as the rest of us do on a daily basis
I look forward to the updates and notifications I get when he uploads a video. I set aside time to watch his videos and ensure that I watch his videos without interruption. It's the least I can do for a person that puts so much care and attention into the craft he shares with me and the world.
Please consider signing the petition below and let YouTube know that this inappropriate flagging is not acceptable. Sign it and share with your friends You don't have to condone the lifestyle of the trans community to believe that the community should have access to an education that helps them realize that they can feel whole and not misrepresented.
